How perfume advertising works
You cannot smell a fragrance through a screen, so perfume advertising depends on trust in authenticity, a clear description of the scent and an easy first step. Decants of 3–10 ml often work best for cold traffic: people try an expensive fragrance without buying a full bottle, then return for more. Real profit comes from repeat purchases, so we build ads together with retargeting and customer base work.
Channels we use
Meta Ads
The main channel for perfume: Instagram, Facebook, catalog sales, Advantage+ Shopping and sales through Direct.
Google Ads
Search and Shopping for people already looking for a brand or fragrance.
TikTok Ads
Added when native content and proven setups are ready. Voenso reached 14.8 ROAS on TikTok Ads.
New markets
Separate setups for each country, language and logistics, as with Pam Parfum in Poland.
How we launch
- Store audit
- Funnel and segments
- Scent creatives
- Launch and tests
- Scale
First we check tracking: the pixel, Conversions API and purchase events. Then we split the audience into segments: niche fragrance lovers, buyers of popular scents, gift buyers and decant collectors. Each one gets its own creatives: notes, “similar to” picks and holiday sets. See the full perfume advertising strategy.
What our cases show
Pam Parfum grew organically and depended on word of mouth. A complete funnel from cold audience to purchase gave the brand a steady flow of orders. See the Pam Parfum case.
What affects results
- Trust. Proof of authenticity should appear in ads and on the site.
- Range. Budget should go to fragrances people already buy.
- Reply speed. Questions in Direct become orders when answered right away.
- Seasonality. New Year, Valentine’s Day and March 8 need early preparation.
